Description
Todiano was an ancient castle built on the spur of a hill in the thirteenth century.
The settlement, extremely compact, is in part developed along a sharp slope and crossed by small streets laid out on different levels connected by steep and narrow stairs. Nearby is the chapel of the Madonna of the Door, the parish church of Saint Bartolomeo, dating back to the fourteenth century and preserving one of the most important works of art of the whole area: Our Lady of Mercy.
Not far from the village, near the cemetery, we find the small church of Saint Maria, an extremely ancient Pieve.
