Description
From the word “corona”, a geological and surname in the Alps, this is a relay village in the most northern part of the Campiano Valley.
Corone is a rural town (where Roman remains have been found nearby) which acted as a commercial village compared with the fortified settlements perched behind it. It also had a mill. The village stands at the point where the road from Castelvecchio meets the road from the mountainous area of Preci, through San Vito.
