Description
Forsivo is particularly compact, hill castle that has been completely abandoned. A large stretch of the town walls is still recognisable, even though it has been used to build the houses that overlook the square crossed by the road, Via della Fonte. There are also quite a few examples of lordly dwellings.
The stability of the majority of the primitive buildings is precarious; the income from emigration and seasonal homecomings has encouraged interventions and rebuilding as “second homes”, but done according to criteria that imitate models that are totally unrelated to the environment.
