Description
Cortigno was mentioned as a castle in the municipality of Cerreto in 1381, whereas Forsivo and Legogne situated in the same mountain area belonged to Norcia.
The ecclesiastical district for the three settlements was also different, that is the parish of Ponte was for Cortigno and the parish of Norcia was for the other two.
The triangular plan of the settlement recalls a frequent layout for hill castles, but there are currently no traces of any town walls or any other fortified elements, with the exception of an isolated tower standing above the village.
