Description
The façade of the Church of San Leonardo, in the hamlet of Montebufo, has two late Gothic ogival portals surmounted by a lily, going back to the first half of the 15th century.
The interior has two naves with cross vaults supported by a central pilaster. The walls are enriched by wooden altars from the 17th and 18th centuries. Artworks include a panel of the Madonna and Child from the early 16th century by Francesco Sparapane; the Trinity and Saints, Madonna and Child and Saints and the Stigmata of St. Francis (of unusual iconography), canvases from the 17th and 18th centuries. On the left is a late Gothic carved stone altar, restored in 1538 and decorated with frescoes from the same period.
