Description
The church of Santa Maria in Via is just a few hundred meters from the village of Montaglioni.
It is a fairly large structure, thirty paces long, twenty wide and twelve high; it has a stone floor, brick roof, three doors and a single bell weighing eighty pounds. A small sacristy is annexed to it, with a few worn out furnishings.
Inside the church there is a single ornate altar and a painting of the Madonna, which was once considered miraculous.
