Description
The small Church of Santa Maria della Porta was created by converting the houses lining the street that leads away from the entrance to the castle of Biselli.
The interior is a kind of corridor running parallel to the street outside, and is not even straight, due to the incorporation of two small rooms. It also has a mottled floor, a very small room open toward the rock, and a 17th-century wooden altar; behind this there are signs of the 16th-century fresco decorations still covered by whitewash (The Eternal, Saint with Halo, Flagellation of Christ).
