Description
The parish church of the Santo Stefano stands opposite the little village with the same name.
Inside, it holds a Crucifixion with St. Stephen on the altar, perhaps by Lazzaro Baldi, and two other 17th-century paintings, which have been completely re-painted. The base of the baptismal font consists of a circular Roman altar, decorated with three taurine protomes joined with garlands (late 1st century B.C.). According to the historian from Cascia, Marco Franceschini, the exhibit has been well preserved and comes from Mt. Torrato (at Piano Rèncine).
