Description
The Church of Sant’Erasmo is situated in the small hamlet of Trivo.
The Greek-cross shaped building has been renovated many times. The interior ends with an apse, the conch of which contains the Trinity, fresco of the second half of the 16th century in the style of the Angelucci family. St. Erasmus, a statue in polychrome stucco, perfunctorily modelled and highly venerated, stands on the altar.
Outside of the lateral portal of the Church of Sant’Erasmo (1540) is preserved a Roman high-relief sculpted on four blocks of grey stone, depicting a woman. The type of relief, with standing figures, was frequently used in the late-republican age on tombstones.
Close to the Church, local limestone quoins, one of which has a bevelled frame, are also visible.
