Description
The 16th century Church of Sant’Anna, in the hamlet of Ocosce, to which was later added Monte Frumentario (an institute which yielded wheat and other farm produce).
The interior was harmoniously and delightfully renovated in the 18th century in all its parts (from the roof, to the sides, to the bottom wall). The wood ceiling is decorated and, at its centre, inside a gold frame, is the painting of the Virgin among Angels. On the high altar (1641) a Madonna with St. Ann and Child, a highly repainted fresco of the 16th century. A 17th century canvas with St. Isidore reminds us, in figurative form, that farming was once the main activity of the zone.
