Description
A village to the west of Castel San Giovanni, it completes a system of settlements that are scattered at the convergence of numerous paths from all over the area around Cascia with the road that led across Forca di Chiavano to the Kingdom of Naples. The “plan” of this system is suggested by the perfect alignment between the three towns.
Along the mule track that descends from Valdonica towards the valley of the Immaginetta between an altitude of 982 and 1,012 m. a semicircular enclosure with a diameter of 75 m. can be seen. The curve of the enclosure faces north and can be seen from a mound on the edge of a semicircular shape.
